BBC Radio 1 celebrated the legendary Pete Tong’s 20 years in the industry with his weekly Essential Selection last week. With a whooping two million listeners every week, he’s been a true soldier of the electronic dance music scene. Following the massive 12 hour celebration, Tong kickstarts yet another weekend off with yet another stunning package of top-class tunes. Opening the show with MYNC and Dan Castro’s new piece of art, featuring the voice of Ron Carroll, called Don’t Be Afraid, last night’s show was packed with such smashers as The Moment, Dan Castro’s remix of Til Death and a premiere spin of Style Of Eye’s remix of Open Your Eyes. Fedde Le Grand’s Flamingo Recordings was highlighted a total of two times in the shape of Diamonds In The Sky and his very own forthcoming single called Running. Axwell’s smashing Heart Is King was chosen this week’s essential tune, Round Table Knights talks us through their ultimate 24 hours and Soul Clap joins in for a 15 minutes of fame!

The World Tonight slippes 19 april. Så at det ikke stod noe om det i kalenderen deres, så jeg bare lurte på om dere kan bekrefte eller avkrefte dette?

Vet dere forresten noe om Aviciis ID også? Hvertfall hvilken måned den kommer i?

Keep up the good work :)

  • Anyone? :)

  • palmo: I do not believe Swedish House Mafia’s new single ‘Save The World’ is due on April 19th. Rumours about the release date for that one have been buzzing around the net for a while now and begun with March 19th, then March 29th and now April 19th.. Since they haven’t unveiled any info about the date yet, I think you can ignore those rumours.

Nor label or date have been unveiled for Avicii’s unnamed track, referred to by fans as ‘ID’.

  • Save the world will be played next friday by pete tong on radio 1 ;)

  • Although fate presents the circumstances, how you react depends on your character.
