Chosen by some as this year’s vital Miami anthem in March, the Aussie producer’s remix on Coming Home has been flooring countless dance events since the initial release in January. Teaming up with eminent Thomas Gold and the gorgeous voice of Kate Elsworth for the groundbreaking release of Alive, Dirty South seems to be going all in this year as well, coming off last year’s prosperity from the releases of Phazing and remixes on Silvia and Sweet Disposition. Hailing from USA is the magnificent Skylar Grey and her trademarked voice behind tracks like Dance Without You and the sensitive parts of Coming Home. Being the sequel to his January release, Invisible is taken to the spacious venue’s of Ibiza and across electronic dance music events worldwide by the nowadays Los Angeles-based Dirty South. Already tracklisted by AN21, Max Vangeli, Tiësto and many more, Pete Tong premiered this humble and superlative, new remix in his Essential Selection show last night. It’s to be released on August 29th through Interscope Records along with a remix from Kaskade and John Dahlback as well.

Consisting of the jointed forces of Erick Morillo, Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero and Jose Nunez, In The Screen team up with Rachael Starr for We Are The Night. As premiered in last night’s Essential Selection on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong himself, the trio, whom previously only made one appearance with the remix of Thinking Of You, presents us their very first collaboration single. Based in Los Angeles, hotly tipped Subliminal Records master in chief Erick Morillo continues to parade his vast industry experience and the positive vibes from the releases of Stronger and 2010’s Live Your Life. Size does matter. That was the fact the acclaimed Size brothers presented us at the sold out event in Gothenburg last night. With well over 1700 clubbers raving in the spacious venue of Trädgår’n to the remarkable selection of top offerings from Sebjak, AN21 and Steve Angello – three of the most prominent Swedish exports within house music today – last night’s event was pretty much ineffable. As the tribal sounds of Sebjak came to an end, the hankering crowd watched AN21 tout the orchestral sounds of Valodja as the opening for his second show in Sweden of the year. Known as the little brother of Angello, the young earnest, current with a new debut album on Size alongside Max Vangeli, screened just why he’s worthy a placing amongst the top-tier DJ’s across the globe. Serving us up with glimpses of the new Size album, including the yet not previewed Fresh Start, the ever so catchy, new Dirty South take on Skylar Grey and an unkown tune, his outgoing set can be concluded with his well-known liking for infectious basslines, silky synth leads and his vibrant scene character. Following the unprecedented success of the Swedish House Mafia and his beloved Size Records imprint, Steve Angello returned to his fellow Sweden as a home-coming hero of class. Not even named yet, the new mafia single is already a throbbing and essential gem, responded to last night as nothing but with a contagious vibe of eagerness and vividness. As one third of the highly-prosperous Swedish tripod, Angello advocated his established statement, ”Size Matters”, undoubtedly with a full-on, smash night of the ascending house scene. Showing off the all new Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso single named Calling, the newest tendering from Tim Mason – a remix on Lucid – as well as a well familiar but unknown ID, last night’s high-end show was the biggest I ever saw and a firm enacting of him and his famed record label. Teaming up with Holland’s very own prodigy, Afrojack, for Prutataaa in May has, alongside remixes for Bounce, Champagne Showers and Koko, been playing a major role in him becoming a vital piece and representative of the electro-house scene.
