The notorious, but yet acclaimed as ever, Deadmau5 seems to have quite a few gems in the loop. Also premiered in his Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 two weeks back was Where My Keys – another hammering record from the Canadian producer, whose ascending career is still not showing any indications what so ever of simmering down after recently reaching a whooping 3.8 million fans in his loyal fan pool on Facebook. His extraordinary submissions to the advancement of electronic dance music has made him become a crucial asset of an innovative and one of a kind-subgenre that one might as well name after the North American-icon himself. Having screened his skill of mastering multiple genres and sounds, Deadmau5 picks up on his traditional signature blend of hardhitting electro and pretentiously sweeping melodies for Where My Keys. As his album of 2010, 4×4=12, is still pulling the superstar immense rounds of fame and success, the music industry saw the Canadian release the progressive HR 8939 Cephei single over less than a day in March. Alongside Professional Griefers, the new, astounding Where My Keys is now also getting its share of the spotlight in a year that is yet more reminding us of last year’s ending – with an album.
