Originally released as part of the ‘Californication’ album in 1999, Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Otherside single gets the remix treatment from Steve Angello protégés Third Party. In addition to the previously unveiled Tim Mason remix, an interpretation from the Size Records duo is now on the rise after being tracklisted by the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello, AN21 and Max Vangeli over the past couple of months. Hitting the radar in late 2010 with what many assumed to be a one hit wonder – ‘Release’ – 2011 has seen them proven themselves worthy of belonging at the top, to where they’re so steadily headed. Not only are the London producers behind the Duel banger but a string of hit remixes on I Believe In, Save The World, Carry Me Home and Militia have fueled the march forward for Third Party as they’re preparing to fire away the long-anticipated third single on Size Records – Feel.
Their absolute brilliant take on the funk rock foursome has now surfaced as a result of AN21 and Max Vangeli’s recent tracklisting of the remix at Electric Zoo Festival. The classic is about to be taken to the dancefloors as an official remix package is on the rise, led by this crowd pleasing version. The unremitting vocals of ‘Otherside’ is yet again emerging the global charts, expounded into modern club music’s dance-friendly chords from one of House music’s probably most talented production outfit to date. It’s set for release late 2011 via One More Tune Records, have a listen!
It was first rumoured to be a remix from Alesso, but has now been confirmed to be one from Third Party.
