Preview: Thomas Gold – Sing 2 Me [Axtone]

As premiered in last night’s Swedish House Mafia sit-in on the Essential Selection show, a high-quality sample of Thomas Gold’s newest single is finally hitting the radar. Unveiled during March in Miami and told to be a collaboration in between Gold and Axwell, but has recently turned out to be a solo production from the German mastermind. The man that is behind some of House music’s most prominent hit singles is firing across the long-awaited Sing 2 Me to the record label of Ax for a forthcoming release that is yet to be announced. Venturing into clubland during the Fall of 2010 with the releases of Marsch Marsch and AGORa, Gold quickly stood out as a characteristic producer with an open mind and an everlasting innovation. Kickstarting off 2011 with his massively pounding remix on Blow Up via Axtone, the German is now returning to Axtone Records to follow up a year that has been an unstoppable advancement towards a top placing amongst electronic dance music’s DJ headliner’s. Coming out with peerless remixes of Lady Gaga’s Judas, Sander van Doorn’s classic Reach Out, Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain and the dynamics of his single with Dirty South, Alive, Thomas Gold’s next smash is now on the rise. Going from a Balearic-influenced breakdown into a full-on take-off that’s unequally driven by a throw-around of vocal sample chords and a monstrous synth-filled lead, Sing 2 Me is certainly here to stay.
