Since the release of Nari & Milani’s fluctuating Kendo single in mid June, a huge anticipation and question mark on the rumoured edit on behalf of Size’s label head, Steve Angello himself, was initiated. The rumour has been confirmed and out from camp Size goes the edited version as a sponaneous give-away.
Making his first hit in late 2003 when House music was yet to face its modern day audience, Steve Angello is one successful producer. Not only is he responsible for such classics as the remix of Moby’s Raining Down, Teasing Mr. Charlie and Be, but was one fifth of the partition’s in what may be regarded as one of the essential break-through anthem’s of progressive house music – Leave The World Behind. Following on to officially form the highly-acclaimed Swedish House Mafia trio, releasing One and Miami 2 Ibiza, Angello had not only succeeded in becoming an incredible pioneer for Swedish EDM export, but built up an outright record label and established a family of his own when many thought the limits of eminence was reached.
Following up last year’s storming releases of Knas, the remix on The Island and Monday to name a few, 2011 was kicked off with the Pete Tong-praised Open Your Eyes, which recently was chosen to feature as one of the soundtracks in Fifa 12, to then proceed in a major Size take-over with a consistent hit single outlet, unearthed and delievered by Angello himself. Editing The Moment in early April and firing away Save The World as part of the Swedish tripod, the winds continue to switch in favour of our fellow Steve Angello as he generously enough hands out his sublime and sought-after edit of Kendo, in which acid sounds meet highly pitched big room synths.
