The Boston based Nightriders duo turns back to the Rising label after the release of their groovy Hey single in late December to join forces with label honcho Chris Lake himself for this catchy piece named NYC – a tribute to the almighty city of New York. Following 2010’s leviathan album alongside Marco Lys, entitled Cross The Line, the separate release of Running Out and numerous instalments on the record label of Deadmau5, Lake has undoubtedly had a successful career to date and is today regarded as one of the more prominent icon’s within tech-house. Not only was last year a firm advancement for the London resident, 2011 has been a complete and utter success, releasing remixes on Wild Out and Pnau’s The Truth as well as several singles out from his beloved Rising Music imprint, the ground-breaking Secrets In The Dark included. To follow up Marco Lys’ trenchant update of Moby’s classic GO, Lake and the Boston pair bring out the outstanding grooves of the New York tribute along with a splendid take from TJR – the Los Angeles producer, whom is currently also topical with the sought-after My Life coming up on Dim Mak.
