Exclusively uncovered last night in Pete Tong’s prime-time Essential Selection show on BBC Radio 1, Eric Prydz comes out with a taste for his emotional take on one of the tracks from Digitalism’s latest artist album, released in mid June. After recent, triumphant releases like the Mirage EP, 2Night, the remixes on Depeche Mode and Mokba and Full Stop under his harder and darker moniker, Cirez D, it’s like we’ve seen nothing yet as Prydz and his skillful production ability return for a rendition out of the electro-pop pair from Hamburg that’s destined to become a chart-topping classic. Having made the world of dance music aware of his well-grinded outlet of tracks through his inimitable creativeness and sense for a spot-on harmony that has come to unearth our fellow Swede into an icon, whom certainly is worthy of getting the phrase ”Eric Prydz for president” adapted to him.
Racking up an abundance of anticipated, unreleased tunes recurringly featured in his distinguished live shows over the past few years, it’s no secret the Swede has become a master of melodies – a phenomen this new remix on Circles is a spiffing example of. Soulfully thumping baselines, an unremitting synth filled lead and vocal samples from the original are only a few of the elements making up the latest masterpiece out from Eric Prydz. It’s due to release October 24th on Pryda Friends along with a remix from Jeremy Olander, have a listen!
