His rather dingy submissions to the progressive house music scene has helped him become a highly-valued contributor and the essential talent of Flamingo Recordings this year. And rightfully so; since the hugely supported Tung! and Hydra engaged clubland around mid-summer, the progression of the now Holland residing Deniz Koyu has been nothing lately, if not successful. Teaming up with the Swedish wunderkid, Johan Wedel, for the vital remix on James Blunt’s Dangerous which has been utmostly congenial to the grandest of DJ’s, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and Tiësto included, ones that may not have paid recognition in the past are certain to have opened up their aural hollows for everything Deniz Koyu this year. As he returns from the wildly demanded Hertz, a sample of his stupendous take on the last single release from Kaskade, Turn It Down, has surfaced, courtesy of an exclusively given radio spin by none other than Tiësto in his Club Life show.
Borrowing the main chords of the original and the sing-along vocals from Rebecca & Fiona, the framing of the newest production out from Koyu is utterly qualitative and well-made as he adds his God-like build-up with cut-offs and grubby chords to merge into a mighty piece of club-banging qualities, also starring his brilliantly tailored kicks. It’s due out December 13th on Ultra Records along with a few other remixes as well, have a listen!
