The inaugural release of 2011 being Hard Rock Sofa and St. Brothers’ tremendous Blow Up, the record label of Axwell has undoubtedly had a fruitful year so far and it just keeps getting better as another new installment reveals itself. With Michael Calfan’s Resurrection being the next in line for emittance from Axtone Records, Ax goes down-under yet again after a handful releases from Dirty South, TV Rock and a forthcoming one from Pauls Paris to unearth a brand-new single on behalf of Ivan Gough, whom alongside Grant Smillie make up TV Rock, and Feenixpawl, the duo formerly responsible for Seasons and Clockwerk. Joining in under the Axtone banner as the sixth Australian representative of the label, which has made it their quest of bringing forth the hottest of tunes, I’d say nothing but success and glory is facing the record that has been created huge buzzes as a previously unknown part of the head honcho’s sets lately.
Although you may believe it would be hard to match such an amazing streak of feel-good anthems like One Look, Heart Is King and Raise Your Hands which has fuelled the noteworthy rise of Axwell and Axtone in 2011, future triumphs are as evenly, if not more, impressive as the 20 already out. Graced with the flawless voice of Perth-based Georgi Kay, the summerish contrast of soulfully high-pitched synth lines and an impellingly rapturing drop in Colours joins in as a forthcoming hit alongside label buddy Thomas Gold’s Sing2Me.
