Reminiscent of his January release on John Dahlback’s Mutants label, titled Wobble, the lurching fuse of elements from dubstep and electro-house continues to thrive as it returns in the name of Albin Myers for his new remix on the latest single from Adrian Lux – Alive. And it seems Myers is not the only one growing quite fond of the contrast of a congenial break and firmly throbbing drop as it’s made quite the appearances in the newest singles from Swedish House Mafia, Knife Party, Laidback Luke and Sander van Doorn lately. With the summerish There 4 You, the dashing Loud NoisesAir Drums and Faking Love singles as well as the spiffy remix on Fade Into Darkness under his belt, the unique production knack of Myers takes on the gorgeous vocals on behalf of England’s electro-pop trio The Good Natured and the soulful synth lines of the original for a superb club remake to further establish the highly underrated Swede in clubland aristocracy.

Scooping his first triumph in early 2009 in shape of his Out There single with John Dahlback, the Belgium-raised Jef Martens, better known as Basto, now joins Albin Myers and others on the first package of remixes on Alive with this stirring remix. With his undubitable liking for the sounding of piano chords having been availing in the production of his three most recent singles – SpaceCake, Gregory’s Theme and Again And Again – the Belgian returns to remix duty after his cut on Kylie Minogue in June for another powerful remix. Taking use of the distinguished voice of The Good Natured’s Sarah McIntosh properly, Basto also adds his ravishing signature sound for a take clearly dominated by synth tinkling tones and marching drums.

And last but not least, Blende – the now UK based DJ and producer mainly recognized from a horde of remixes alongside Adrian Lux, Worldwide and Solid Ground included – takes on Alive to create a lightly grinding electro alteration with sweeping characteristics and hefty bass lines.

The first package of remixes is out now via Ultra Records!

  • Blende-remixen är förjävla tung, nått datum på andra remixpacket med style of eye?

  • Blende Remix is very Cool !

  • Erik: Inte än, men bör vara inom några veckor.

  • The best is the albin myers, huge difference, loving it

  • Albin Myers drop är ju insaaaaane. Helt sjukt fett. Blende-remixen var ju också tung.

  • Just FYI, you have the songs mislabeled… The first track is the Albin Myers remix. Definitely can’t mistake that drop!

  • whomping stereo: And as such is it referred to in the post above. None of them are or were ever mislabeled in this post.

  • Det första jag tänkte på när jag hörde Basto! remixen var Avicii vs Eric Turner – Dancing In My Head (Been Cursed Mix).. ganska likt enligt mig.

  • @Love P aa herregud vad det låter likt!

  • @Love P, Basto har ju byggt hela sin stil runt avicii och främst låten Bromance.

  • Andra droppet i Albins remix är sjukt jävla fet!

  • Albins är fetast! in i helsicke!
hahahah herrejävlar… Bastos är ju sjukt lik ”dancing in my head”.. Undra om Basto! gör ripoff på nästa Avicii låt, om Avicii då alltså gör en ”Studio Session” igen. Hade lätt sagt detta om ja va Avicii:
”And this track is called xxxxx and if you want a cheaper ripped-off version check out Basto!’s fanpage on facebook in a month or so if you can’t wait for mine.”

  • Varför gör han inte fler låtar som Out There? En riktigt bra housedänga!

  • Love P: Det var ju John Dahlbäck som producerade Out There :)

  • Albin Myers!!

  • +1 Myers!
