After the successful release of his tasteful, Daft Punk-influenced debut single on the label as a solid headliner of the recent launch of its new Talent EP concept, Jordy von Egmond, better known as Dyro, returns to Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings to instal a new couple of solo makings.
Based out of Amsterdam, this 19 year old wunderkind is rapidly becoming a prime example of the immense talent hailing from the small yet fruitful country of Holland. Specialized, as head honcho Hardwell himself, in the harder face of progressive house, Dyro now uncovers two sublime singles to venture the halls of Revealed. Whilst Metaphor, the momentous frontier of this two-piece EP, unfolds a tad of reminiscence of his previous Revealed single, Daftastic, in the experimental and driving electro combinations, quite alike the legendary works of Daft Punk, its distinction falls into favour of a stomping kick, trance-inspired sirens, and a dark yet uplifting, funky sound.
Alike its supreme accompanion, Magno is firmly fronted by a dark, growling sound and a synth-filled break, only with a slightly more diverse contrast as its distinguished pinnacle sounds are embraced by a soothing and bumpy set-up of elementary beats.
