Sold out in less than ten minutes, the Swedish House Mafia show at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York, USA is one for the books and an event certain to break new ground for electronic dance music. After a persistent rise since Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso initially teamed up as Swedish House Mafia for the release of One in early 2010, they have seen the full-blown reformation in terms of House music becoming a permanent force in clubbing and on radio stations across the globe. But in truth, there was not that much of an outlook as it was playing essential roles as the pioneers for the Swede’s who today stand firmly rated as three of the most intriguing acts in electronic dance music with self-evident headliner positions on any top-tier dance event, both as a trio and as acclaimed solo artists. With the new, fourth single, titled Antidote, out and also starring the Pendulum side project Knife Party, made up by Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, the Swedish super group is undoubtedly a dominant force in clubland and one worthy of making the very first, ground-breaking DJ appearance at the spacious and nostalgic venue that is Madison Square Garden.
