Deriving from Paris, Laurent Ash, better known as Lifelike, is one of the leading figures in the new wave of French house music. And as a pioneer of the new wave of the nostalgic and intricate genre championed by such legends as Daft Punk and Cassius amongst others, the refined touch of Lifelike encapsulates a pinch of modernism and freshness to deliver euphoric offerings. Having also become a well-known head honcho of his own record label, Computer Science, Lifelike is also recognized for his ability to spot and bring up a blinding record. And as if Roman D’Amour’s new track Make Love Tonight would be any different. With its funky appeal and filtered vocals, Ash obviously saw it his duty to give the original a twist of his captivating and energy-filled signature sound for a re-edit that has already seen plays from Pete Tong among others.
