As far as British success stories go, none have perfected the field of emotionally charged chart-friendly Dub Step better than Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray, better known as London’s own Nero. With a spate of large scale festival appearances under their belts and their highly acclaimed debut album ‘Welcome Reality’ still going strong across the globe, Reaching Out marks yet another chapter of their status as a European stronghold within their oversubscribed genre.
As eclectic Tech House visionaries and one third of the brains behind Get Physical Music, Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger, who make up Booka Shade, have continued to deal in sophisticated doses of unpredictable Dance music. Their remodel, by far the most imaginative take on Nero’s unintimidating original, brings ambient percussion, unpredictable keys and the glow warm vintage synthesiser to an otherwise uninspiring package of remixes.
