As if his versatile style as a producer wasn’t enough to fortify himself as one of the A-listed producers of modern-day tech-house and techno, Joris Voorn rounds off his proceedings of 2011 with a remix duty for electronic music legend Moby. With his unique ability to, despite the somewhat basic structure of his productions, perpetually create diverse yet rapturous trademark sound combinations and consequently discern his music outlet eminently, Voorn has managed to make some serious impact on the electronic dance music scene under his well over 8 years as a top-tier character of tech and techno.

Whilst the original of After, which has also seen remix duties from Tommy Trash and Tim Mason this year, represents a quite dramatic and mysterious side of things, the Hollander has evidently seen it his duty to clarify the distinct sound of Moby into an appealing and far more dance-friendly jam. Featuring soothing piano chords, spiffy guitar-like riffs, Moby’s mysterious and rather discreet vocals as well as smooth tech beats, Voris makes for a last, top-notch offering to join his high-quality track roster of 2011.

Joris Voorn’s remake of Moby, titled After the After, is out now via his own Rejected label.
