Where authentic House music for the masses is concerned, Strictly Rhythm have done no wrong amid their 23-years of club floor dominance and following suit for 2011, Haze and Full intention carried the flame into the late hours of a very good year for Dance music. But for those seeking bigger musical movements in their nocturnal activity, help came stomping in with true Swedish fashion. Dramatising the originals elegant keys and building a sound scope of the big room floor play that has sealed his name as the country’s middle-ground master of Progressive House, Sebjak is on top form after a brief period of silence from Stockholm’s insistent club asset. With further releases enroute for Size Records and a standing signing to EMI in place, 2012 promises further movement from the young Swede and while grass root House aficionados may sulk about Progressive House’s intrusion onto the fertile space of pure House grooves, in this case the imposition remains as sweet as they come.
The Sebjak remix of Signification is released January 17th.
