Originally released in 2003, Scandinavian duo Djuma Soundsystem’s club classic with strong Middle Eastern influences gets a modern revamp by aspirational, Hasselt based Siege, real name Sieg Motmans. Following on from last year’s appearance on Pete Tong’s world renowned Essential Selection with Lox, this Belgium producer and Dj continues to show high ambitions as far as his production outlet goes. Raking in support from the likes of Tiësto, Thomas Gold and Kaskade, Siege’s impressive remodel of this 21st century, string-filled club anthem borrows significantly from the original while still bringing his own proficiency to the table. After a slightly edited phrase with the original’s oriental strings, an entrancing synth lead and beefy bottom layers are due to carry the light for what is looking to be another prolific year for this young Belgian.
