Those who have previously dismissed Australia’s hold on global Dance music obviously overlooked the master of Phasing and widely acclaimed floor filler Dirty South. As far as emotive and hard hitting anthems are concerned, his seminal 2011 anthem Alive was undoubtedly one of finest vocal offerings of 2011, uniting the talented master of Australian Progressive House with the country’s finest songstress to date and their phenomenal German peer Thomas Gold in a nod towards how Dance music should play out. With the latter preparing to drop his highly anticipated ‘Sing 2 Me’ on Axtone Records, the globe waited in awe for the follow-up to last years renowned outing of finely tuned club magic.
But those prayers have now been firmly answered. Laced with the divine studio etiquette that has seen the masterful Aussie producer flourish on the global club circuit, his return to Phazing alongside familiar stirring vocal accolade Kate Elsworth strikes with promising impact for the year ahead, with Thomas Gold’s renowned Progressive vibes establishing this as an early game changing offering from three of Electronic Dance Music’s most vital assets to date. Given the seal approval from none other than bonafide don of Electronic music Pete Tong on Radio 1, Eyes Wide Open not only marks Phasing’s sixth release, but one of the label’s most hotly anticipated offering to date.
