Far before the frantic hysteria and pragmatic reign of it’s Swedish Mafioso, John Dahlback could be found lifting the bar with dose after dose of solid club outings. Since breakthrough offering ‘Blink’ raised the Swede’s dynamic floor-credibility, a persistent reign on the global club circuit and further sterling releases for Defected, Atlantic / Big Beat and his own imprint Mutants suggest that this is yet another European contender that has outgrown the comfort zone of the home crowd.

Rich in anthemic leads and that signature peak-time consistency that we now associate with Sweden’s longstanding master of Progressive House, this contribution for Big Beat, previously titled ‘Song Saved My Life’, stands as one of his most potent offerings to date. Making a vital appearance amid one of the accompanying mixes for his forthcoming Toolroom Records compilation and with a further vocal edit on the way, we can rest assured that there is still life left in this original European breakthrough.

  • Any idea when the vocal version is coming?

  • this is massive, dahlbacks melodies are so flawless

  • Carl: It’s told to be soon. Will let you know as soon as we do.

  • ”His name is John Dahlblack”, gg pete ^^
awsome tune, really love dahlbacks melodies lately.

  • gj john

  • Genius to mix the classic Dahlbäck sound with something melodic.

  • Dahlbäck is an awesome producer and he’s releasing a lot of great stuff, however I think that the sounds are too weak and it’s just the same notes repeating over and over again. I’d love too hear even more vocal edits from Dahlbäck that makes the tracks stand out.

  • This one is really outstanding!
But he should produce from time to time more ”underground” tracks

  • Manu: Overdose, Are You Nervous, Soldier just to name a few.

  • @Ritchie Yes! I want to hear more of this stuff ;)

  • Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just
your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
Nevertheless imagine if you added some great images or videos to give your
posts more, ”pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and
video clips, this site could certainly be one of the best in its niche.
    Awesome blog!
