As their name might sugggest, the Swedish House Mafia are a team synonymous with rigid family values and a break neck approach to anthemic floor fillers. Following up their landmark offering alongside Pendulum side-project Knife Party and the positive assortment of chart-worthy assets currently filling their musical trophy cabinet, the triumphant trio take proceedings with same momentum that has carried their legacy from the outset. Heralded by another of Sweden’s fine exports, Absolut Vodka, for an exclusive ad spot, we can rest assured that their ambitious sights for universal profiles are yet to subsist. Bringing things back to basis for the original instrumental, an array of grinding synths and symphonic chord play make for a perfectly orchestrated outing of club music that persuasively argues a case for the Swedish House Mafia’s ongoing onslaught of the clubs and charts alike.

In the same vein as the track brags further epic connotations for the dignified trio, their visual exploit alongside Absolut extends their trend of cutting-edge music videos. Ditching the controversial aspects of their previous videos, this vodka-endorsed offering see’s the three producers pitted against themselves in a somewhat augmented reality. While heralding the race that has seen them champion the realms of Electronic music, its captivating visuals and impressive CGI exploits make for an impressive addition to their legacy.

‘Greyhound’ will be available to buy from March 12th.

  • I really liked the video… It was messed up…. But in a good way!

  • Haha wow, that’s some dope ass video! love the second drop after they tweaked it

  • The video was weak… come on. The unrated Antidote clip was some real good stuff.

  • Loved the video and I think the track is by far one of the best tracks this year.

  • Awesome visuals! By far their best music video yet. It like reflects on the race between Ax, Seb and Steve and they end up as equals, love it :D

  • Music video of One was really dope! This looks like some lady gaga

  • mode

  • love the song.. love the video,, but antidote unrated was better:)

  • I hope somebody really does an edit of the irritating ”changed” melody (you know what part i’m talking about)…..It just destroys the whole feeling of the track….
About the video, it’s kinda wierd :/

  • This is shit.

  • The video is private now :(

  • Second drop is freaking HUGE!

  • Klang: Try now :)

  • ingrosso : ”what you do in club ? you drink …”

    ahah can’t be more true

  • The video was actually really bad ass IMO :)

I really like that they have cool videos and not sell out stuff :)

  • Axwell should have won!

  • Really cool video!

Can’t wait for the new documentary with the boys..

  • weak track from the swedish. I dont imagine so much support by djs to this track

  • LoL…i just Love the way they are saying bulls**t about getting inspiration and bla bla bla when this song is just a ripoff hans zimmer’s…

  • Why is the Remix website from absolut not working? I really want to try to remix it.

  • @andy It’s not a rip-off ,it is called SAMPLING. And since you say it’s a rip-off and you obviously hate it, why are you therefore here?

  • its not a ripoff of hans zimmer, its just the melody ripoff, and its called sampling, very usual thing in house music,so stop with that bullshits, and enjoy the music…if you dont like it,dont listen to it !!!

  • @Westage: starts next monday ;)

  • @bandis @cowy wow you guys obviously read my mind!!

    1. who told you I hate the track? Since the original was from Hans Zimmer, and I really loved it, I still pretty enjoy this version
    2. I find very disrespectful to talk about originality or insipiration, when they don’t obviously give credit to such a great artist
    3. I’m here cause occasionally, there are some good post about good house music

  • @andy So your argument is about not giving credit and disrespecting Hans Zimmer…Nothing to add here and you might be right, so i wont’t continue this.
Yeah they should give credit i can’t agree more, but it’s wrong saying it’s a rip-off.
    Anyhow :-)

  • Bitch, please. I’m really-really getting tired of this Hans Zimmer/Audible/SHM debate.

  • Got an Intro bootleg of ”In My Mind”

    Check it out!!

Couldn’t agree more. Avicii didn’t give Etta James credit for using her vocals. Sander van Doorn didn’t give Jurgen Vries credit for clearly using the theme for chasin and the list goes on… Now that should keep you busy for the next 100 years or so.

Apart from Save The World, every release Swedish House Mafia has made has been HUGE (speaking about the instrumental mixes for antidote, m2i, one and the original mix of ltwb), and this is no exception. Sure, the interlude could have been done better but that beat is fucking divine. There has to be some room left for remix opportunities ;)

  • I barely comment here but just wanted to let you guys at beat my day know how much I appreciate the work and enthusiasm you put into running this site. You’re no doubt the best house blog out there and you’re always on top of whatever is happening in EDM.

Keep up the good work guys!

  • @Otis

    +1

You guys have grown so much in such a short time! Keep going strong!

  • whats the id of 3:45?

  • @ the making of video…

  • Epic track and great work from Beatmyday as usual! Been waiting for this tune ever since I first heard it in the Madison Square Garden concert videos. Although the original melody was darker and in my opinion better than the final edit, it’s still a massive track. Buying this tomorrow.

Is it a known fact or just speculation that the song is sampling Hans Zimmers ‘Time’?

  • h3h3h3: It’s ‘Greyhound’. That actual synth was used as the break before.

  • I like the break down they used in the making of Greyhound video , i hope its in the version releasing

  • The sound that starts at 3:12 is much much much better than the one in MSG for god’s sake! Hope this will be on the original. *fingers crossed*

  • EN REEEEEEEN

  • Is the remix site down ?

  • I am redirected to Facebook at entering the page :( so bad.

  • Thanks Anton! Love your site ;)

  • Omg this is only a facebook app with weird samples… I was sure that Remix audio parts were ment :(
