British Electro technician Stuart Price, better known under the alias of Jacques Lu Cont, has continued to raise the bar with his authentically tailored exploits of a certain vintage appeal. Already seeing heavy support from Pete Tong on the prestigious airwaves of BBC Radio 1, Price continues his trend of literally ‘giving it away’ with latest studio export ‘Church’.
Aptly lined with discordant organ chords, this quirky array of vintage leads and fast-laced Electro stylings certainly marks a refreshing breath of air from the all-too-familiar hallmarks currently associated with the genre. Consistently sharp but embracing an old-school twist somewhat reminiscent of Daft Punk’s purer days, ‘Chruch’ follows suit alongside his already sterling arsenal of gritty House gems in celebration of the mixed European roots that have seen flourish across the globe.
