Where Swedish youngster Adrian Lux has inspired eager-anticipation from the outset of his relatively short career, few of his instalments have received greater attention than belated studio endeavour ‘Leave The World Behind’. First premiered in 2010 by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection slot for Radio One, this ultimately brave nod towards one of the most enigmatic Swedish anthems of our lifetime places Lux in a studio mindset that few could have anticipated.
Opting for a more minimalistic sound scope than his more recent releases, the electronically tuned top-line from familiar mouthpiece Lune and concise mechanical stylings of ‘Leave The World Behind’ may scream sacrilege to the more devout aficionados of the early Swedish House Mafia, but his outside of the box approach is certainly a fresh one. Set to appear amid his self-titled debut album in April, Lux remains one Swedish asset who has used the hype to his advantage and set 2012 as a year that is his for the taking.
‘Leave The World Behind’ will be released on April 3rd via Ultra Records.
