Now supported by every major artist imaginable and boasting a sublime discography of original studio endeavours and remixes, Pete Tong was the first to get his hands on the studio quality cut of his inaugural remix of 2012. Where his remix of ‘Titanium’ proved an essential Dance floor asset last year, British soft-rock outfit and personal favourites Keane are next on the agenda to be given the Swedish House treatment.
Playing off the originals staggered piano progressions and divergent top line, his remix duties for ‘Silence by the Night’ do not quite encompass the same energy as the likes of his celebrated remix of ‘Pressure’. However, with a clear melodic sweep of the originals more down-tempo approach, Alesso produces a divine canvas of emotively tuned music that remains a testament to the diversity to which his legacy has been attributed to.
Released on May 11.
