There isn’t a fan this side of the world that hasn’t slightly resented Eric Prydz for making us wait so patiently for his debut album. But having shed some light on this highly anticipated studio endeavour for 2012, his first Pryda compilation album has certainly reigned in as a suitable distraction. Amid the array of gems collected by the Swedish heavyweights melodically refined Progressive House alter ego, blazing new bullet ‘SW4’ adds an element of surprise to the equation ahead of its May release.

Carrying the distinct hallmarks more closely associated with his Cirez D moniker, the tough exterior and predominantly Electro persuasions of this track make for a gritty yet notably melodic endeavour of alternative weight for the multi-faceted producer. Premiered at the South West Four in London a few years back, ‘SW4′ adds yet even more hysteria to the build up of what promises to be a gargantuan year for this Swedish legend.

‘SW4′ is released on May 7 ahead of his Pryda compilation album.

Update: Long, high-quality sample added

  • nice!

  • Stating that SW4 was “Premiered at the Warehouse Project during Prydz’s epic romp of the UK” is incorrect. He used this track for the first time as the intro of his gig at South West Four in London back in August of 2009, hence the name SW4. Keep your facts straight…

  • ALDO: Apologies. Hard to know something that only attendees would know, isn’t it? ;)

  • Good stuff, although it will be far from the best track on the album!

  • @Anton
