Flashing back on this year’s Miami Music Week, Pete Tong is back on BBC Radio 1 to present us a new Essential Selection. Kicking things off, David Guetta and Nicky Romero’s Miami contender ‘Metropolis‘ makes its third appearance ahead of its Monday release while the soon-to-be-released Madeon remix of ‘The Night Out‘ and the Dirty South remix of ‘Devil’s Work‘ both make their respective second appearances on the show. Fresh off a noteworthy performance at Ultra Music Festival, Avicii joins Pete Tong on the phone to talk UMF, Madonna’s introduction, his Summer residency at Ushuaia in Ibiza as well as the upcoming Levels tour before playing his forthcoming collaboration with Nicky Romero called ‘Nicktim‘ and his version of Madonna’s ‘Girl Gone Wild‘.

Also, Cedric Gervais’ ‘Molly’ was chosen this week’s Essential New Tune, Maya Jane Coles delivers a soulful guest mix, Nina Kraviz talks us through her inception as a producer in 15 minutes of fame and much more.

  • I thought his track Fire was the follow up to Levels, since his played it in his own sets it must be legit?

  • Asm: Avicii has no track called ‘Fire’. I take it you are referring to ‘ID2′? ‘Fire’ is just a name someone made up and posted online.
