At a time where vintage synths and distant disco vibes are a hot digression from the world of Electronic music, indefinable Bristol mob The Other Tribe continue their ascent into the realms of genre defiance with illustrious new single ‘Skirts’. Already boasting the undeniably poignant seal of approval by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection show, the warm and roughly cut grooves of ‘Skirts’ make for a fresh middle-ground between the oversubscribed avenues of Electronica and Indie with succinct force. Pitting an infectious top line alongside the bands aptly quirky ethnic samples, this group are certainly enroute to injecting British Dance music with a distinctly different shade of nostalgic floor fuel.
‘Skirts’ will be released in April on Black Butter Records.
