As far as enigmatic British producers are concerned, Thomas Gandey has proven one of the country’s more creatively superior assets to date. Stepping away from his Cagedbaby moniker to follow-up last year’s ‘The Piano Track’, his return to Southern Fried Records beckons a somewhat ambient digression from his signature blend of melodic Tech House. Still rife with the rhythmic precision and delicate builds to which the Bordeaux/Berlin hopping producer calls his speciality, ‘The Organ Track’ stays true to its name melodically, though takes a more paino-driven route within its overtly satisfying melodic substance. Where Gandey’s warm keys and ethnic leads pad out the majority of his return to Claude Von Stroke’s infamous imprint, its consistent energy makes for a sterling solo-endeavour for this beloved European producer.
