It is no secret that Henrik B has established himself as something of a beacon for Swedish House music’s promising new school contenders. In the same vein as his own workings of Adrian Lux’s ‘Teenage Crime’, Berntsson establishes himself as a stronghold for emotively charged club music with that vital punch of vivacity that the club floor beckons. Armed with robust keys, well executed builds and a haunting vocal line from Rudy, the contemporary Swede producer hits a middle ground in global House music that defies the tedium of his chart-raking peers while still playing out as universally attainable to both the club floor and radio alike.
But calling upon Dutch daredevils NO_ID for remix duties, ‘Leave A Light On’ is given an essential injection of the Axtone duos hard-hitting musical stamina from the outset. Drawing on the originals anthemic vocal line and building a canvas of solid synth work around its emotive tones, their remix transitions from piercing keys to aggressive chords with impressive technical substance. Their remodel, though invariably close to their securely established sound, is enough to place them at the heart of their genre while establishing a firm ground for the Dutch duo not only to claim their diversity amid their hometown peers, but to soar to unprecedented levels amid a truly European onslaught within Electronic music.
‘Leave A Light On’ will be released on April 23rd via Axtone Records.

Jonas says:

kiko says:
Awesome, can’t wait.
Jane says:
not bad…6.5/10 for me
Eric says:
NO_ID kör ju samma sak som vanligt…börjar bli riktigt tråkigt :/ Håller med Jonas.
vincent galan says:
same as Jonas, it sounds quite cheap
Zetheiser says:
yezz!
Steven says:
Heard the NO_ID remix at Masquerade Motel.. LOVE IT!!!
Marcus says:
Blev lite besviken på originalet (dock svårt att avgöra på den lilla snutten) eftersom hypen har varit så stor… Dock är NO_ID-remixen sjukt bra fortfarande.
MB says:
Love, love, love the orininal mix!
I really like NO_ID’s sound but they have to vary themselves more, How R U Feeling Right Now, Wild One Two Remix and this one sounds too much alike.
Bandis says:
Good release, both the original and the remix are very good, but it is only me that feels like NO_ID have overused ”that” sound of theirs? You know propably what i’m talking about.
Kaveh says:
Originalet låter riktigt bra. Bästa Henrik B gjort hittills är fortfarande ambient-albumet ‘Kryoniks’ (http://www.discogs.com/Henrik-B-Kryoniks/release/174065).
Blad says:
diggin’ the vocals from Rudy
manu says:
Solid release, loving the original mix. Tbh I’m not interested at all in the No_ID remix, sounds every other remix from them.
Artwork and video are as great as usual.
btw it’s nice that Axtone brings back remixes to their releases
Ellis says:
I agree NO_ID seriously need to get a new sound fast, if they do anymore remixes/songs with their unique ’sound’ they will soon become un-popular. All of these songs sound the same:
1. How R U Feeling Right Now?
2. Wild One Two (NO_ID Remix)
3. Leave a Light On (NO_ID Remix)
Sort it out!
Evan says:
Geez, everyone just expects an huge anthem now. This release is one of the best yet with a true house sound and a techy but big remix by NO_ID. And if you’re complaining about NO_ID and their sound, listen to Acident, Sex Sells, Mantaz, Nothing Left To Lose and more recently Zelda. Those are all different.
Steven says:
Why all those hate guys? They made an really original track with ‘How R U Feeling Right Now’ and did 2 remixes now with that sound?! Come on!! If it sounds good it sounds good! Did you guys heard Sex Sells and Mantaz? Original as hell
J-Francois says:
NO_ID remix is shit. Always the same drop always the same thing… Original is just the best. The piano is simply beautiful… Nothing else. But BMD, how do you know she will be out next monday?
Oakich says:
I actually quite like the NO_ID remix, and all of their stuff. They really created almost a genre with that sounds – they tag their stuff as Progressive Tech House. I’m not tired of the sound, because it’s so new and so fresh. BTW their tracks are all pretty similar in terms of sound, but the arrangement is always different so it doesn’t sound boring. If you don’t believe me, listen to their Miami Mixtape http://Soundcloud.com/wearenoid/no_id-s-miami-mixtape-2012- it doesn’t get boring in a set either, and that matters much more than wether the previews are boring to you personally.
Vincent says:
You’re not clever if you can hear NO_ID sounds similar in their work, you’re annoying other who obviously know about it and just don’t care, because NO_ID’s sound is refreshing and unique.
Buying both the versions, without a doubt!
Vincent says:
@Vincent
to others*
melfres says:
i am actually quite fond of the NO_ID remix. they aren’t overusing that sound at all. 3 tracks total that sound like that. big fucking whoop. take the stick out your asses and listen to the music. it’s a refreshing sound that people love and want to hear more of. i mean, one more track like this might be too much but right now they’re fine. and yeah, as people stated above, their other tracks sound NOTHING alike. if you don’t like their work, cool. don’t start some bullshit jibber jabber about how they’re boring.
off topic: i think the tag, ”progressive tech house” fits nicely with their work.
Anton says:
To be fair, compare the Wild One Two remix to the others and you’ll hear it’s actually not that similar as you may think.
By the way, if you’re looking for some NO_ID classics, be sure to check their collabo with Sebastien Lintz and Tommy Trash from last year – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1g_erkq7xE or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYNsm1b2hQA or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIFBEWHG4S8
Matt says:
Nothing left to lose was one of my favorites from last year. This is probably the weakest Axtone release since their ”relaunch” but still not bad.
Evan says:
@Anton
You’re too right man! NO_ID are a welcomed breath of fresh air! I heard them play this at Cosmic Opera and it was one my favorite moments of the night, sounds huge live.
AN22 says:
Great work by the best DJ ever! B is for BOMB!
Purtnit says:
Worse. Not my cup of tea, too much mediocre mainstream. Sorry.
Henry says:
original mix is so good..wait for the complete track..it’s emotional house music
Eric says:
remix is pure sex!!
AL X says:
Huston we got a prob! No_ID does the same thing like Qulinez…WTF!? COme on
Sebastian says:
Axtone has the best paintwork no doubt! This one is awsome
Mike says:
This is boringgggggg boring boring boring.
Marcus says:
@AL X
In terms of cheeseburgers, this is the NO_ID sound visualized:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CI2Doo1SQuo/TmwBobTJ9oI/AAAAAAAAAYI/ri3CQyTS9sQ/s1600/2027-burgers.jpg
Sexy, phat, beefy and well produced.
This it the Qulinez sound visualized:
http://www.fahad.com/pics/canned_cheeseburger_2.jpg
Sloppy, slushy and half done.
(No pun intended with both sound being ‘cheesy’)
Arnoud says:
Lol @marcus! I couldnt agree more
Mathias Ekström says:
Love it!
