It may have been close to five months since its premiere as the inaugural track of 2012 for club-goers attending Gashouder in Amsterdam to ring in the new year, but the official title of one of Joris Voorn’s most sought-after works to date had not surfaced until recently. First told to be something of a private production for Voorn’s live sets, the track now entitled ‘Goodbye Fly’ sees Voorn bring his A-Game yet again for a downright epic concoction of infectious baselines and an absolutely brilliant top line.
The Rejected head honcho’s productions are known to cause quite a stir amongst tech house heads across the globe, but few have made such a spectacular inauguration into the limelight as ‘Goodbye Fly’. With its carefully crafted drum combinations and overall groovy appeal, ‘Goodbye Fly’ boosts our expectations as far as his studio output in 2012 is concerned further. Add the fact that it’s been told to merely be the B-side of his new EP, and Voorn’s next release might just be his best one yet.
‘Goodbye Fly’ will be released soon on his own Rejected label.
