Fresh off his much talked about original debut for Axtone, entitled ‘Sing2Me‘, the German is now set to return to the acclaimed imprint of Axwell with a 32 track compilation in tow. Following in the footsteps of label head Axwell, Thomas Gold is on mix duty for Axtone’s upcoming second compilation, due to include a whopping 12 unreleased originals, remixes and edits on behalf of Gold himself.
Appearing as one of the selected three unreleased Gold originals alongside ‘The Beginning’ and ‘Circles’, ‘Fanfare’ sees the Axtone-signed German raise the stakes for an array of aptly arranged drums and distinct, horn-like sounds. Running with a drum-driven sound fairly reminiscent of what we have come to associate with the Berlin residing producing of late, ‘Fanfare’ looks set to become an essential piece off one of Thomas Gold’s unquestionably biggest landmarks to date.
Thomas Gold’s debut compilation for Axtone will be released exclusively on iTunes May 28.

The fact that the melody is out of tune in some parts of the melody is very unique, and is of course intentional. I sounds pretty damn good after a couple of listens, props!! Massive track.

Tracklist looks good, but i was expecting more Axtone old unreleased tracks and some amazing exclusive stuff. I don’t know, i’m always expecting the best from Axtone and Axwell.

@Cowy, It is out of tune for a fact, it’s basic musical knowledge, but he is using that factor in a very appropriate way. That’s what I’m saying, not that it’s a bad piece of melody, because it really is! Unique as I mentioned earlier.

I believe thats ‘Thomas Gold – Circles’ …I heard this tune and also The Beginning (wich is the intro song for pretty much all thomas gold’s latest sets…(incl. masquerade motel etc.etc.)

@Nick Wahaa you have no idea… for sure this melody is out of key all the time, my ears are brilliant! The melody is just horrible and i can’t listen to this… will turn of the radio, will stop the cd, will walk out of the club- if i would hear this! And that’s how I feel, so no discussion possible for my opinion on this.
You must know i simply love everything Thomas did up to now, even many years back when he was producing a little bit different.
