Proving as aptly favourable for their festival proof Electro cuts as they are surprising mainstream remix duties, Holland’s chainsaw master R3hab and his Leiden peer Dyro are two artists indispensible amid the crowded Dutch House scene. Uniting this month to tear through the work of distinguished Dutch peer Afrojack and his soulful homeland peers Shermanology’s enigmatic anthem ‘Can’t Stop Me’, Fadil El Ghoul’s chainsaw grinding intellect is met with the new school aptitude of his younger countryman.
While Dyro’s newly refined Electro styling’s can be immediately traced from the outset of the tracks cataclysmic drop, R3hab’s grinding qualities and ferocious lead work are all too visible throughout this essential asset to the forthcoming remix package. Adding a strong dimension of festival energy to Dorothy Sherman’s heartrending top line, such exquisite remixes help the widespread belief that in one way or another the Dutch have truly redefined Electronic Dance Music.
The remix will be released June 25 on Wall Recordings.
