Originally an unofficial edit of French singer Camile’s song by the same name, the London-based producer dons ‘Home Is Where The Hurt Is’ a seething display of steady grooves and analogue bass manoeuvres.
Enriching the original’s soulful appeal with the vintage energy that the infamous label have come to encapsulate, Solo dons Defected one of the more minimalistic melodic House outings to make such subtle yet seductive noise. Set to embark on his first world tour later this year, 19-year-old South London songstress Syron proves the perfect vocal asset to drive a stern summer orientation through this immediately inspiring turn to the Mediterranean grooves that make Defected a one-stop shop for sunkissed anthems.
