Chicago House music pioneer Curtis Jones has always had his fingers on the pulse of the so called “real” House music. Whether dropping funky beats as Cajmere or pushing timeless techno through his Green Velvet moniker, the Cajual Records founder has since entering the scene in ‘91 become one of its most essential contributors to date.

But teaming up with equally impressive Chicago House trailblazer Gene Farris yet again, the legendary duo follow up March’s ‘Black Label’ EP with another release off Cajual. In a successful attempt to establish an apt soundtrack for the riviera, ‘The Riviera’ blends an ambiguous top line with a variety of wind instruments for something that could easily go down as a future classic.
