Years may have passed since Gregor Salto donned his tropically tinted club stylings to Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records, but in a better-late-than-never style emergence to the surface for the summer season, the valiant Dutch producer follows up 2009’s ‘Step By Step’ with affirmative tropical ‘Azumba’.

Rife with Salto’s rich and multidexterous instrumental work, the tracks extensive rhythmic progressions and liberal sample work drive home a penetrating sound scope of coarse leads and inherently Dutch attitude. But without folding to the more stereotypical regions associated with his homeland,  Salto delivers a fine example of heavy-stepping House music with this minimalistic yet infectious follow-up that quite coherently amends his three-year absence from Mixmash.

‘Azumba’ is set to be released on July 7.
