European club titans Swedish House Mafia look set to release their sixth single entitled ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ for Virgin Music on July 16 later this summer. According to a recent issue of Music Week Magazine, the follow-up to their Absolut approved single ‘Greyhound’ was to drop just days after their landmark UK appearance at Milton Keynes Bowl but has now been pushed back according to inside sources. While an official sample is yet to see the light of the day, rumours would suggest that this may be the emotional track that the Swedes have so skilfully teased their fans about since their Australian tour earlier this year. Regardless, all signs pointing to another affirmative instalment from the definitive Swedish masters.

Update (21:00 CET 24/6): Just got word from SHM management that the release of ”Don’t You Worry Child” has been pushed back and is no longer set for July 16th. There is no new release date yet. More info on this as we get it.

  • High expectations…

  • If they will play it they will play it at milton keynes bowl it will be the first track like what they did at madison square garden with greyhound

  • It is said that all good things must come to an end, and according to a message on SwedishHouseMafia.com, the union of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello — known affectionately as Swedish House Mafia — is no more.

“Today we want to share with you, that the tour we are about to go on will be our last. We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved.”

The message is signed by the three DJs individually, with the additional “a/k/a Swedish House Mafia” thrown in for good measure. Remaining tour dates include the legendary Milton Keynes Bowl on July 14th, dates at Ushuaia Ibiza July 4th – August 29th, and the aptly-named Friends Arena in Sweden on November 24th. There is also hint of a “final leg of this journey” that will be announced in August.

    Every teardrop is a waterfall.

    FUCK WHYYY !

  • Is it only me that think it’s incredible fucking strong of them to break up when they are on top of the world as of now? I bet every major EDM-event/festival want to have them on their line-up. Instead of seeing them fade away with time..

    SHM-forever <3

  • Dont you guys think there is something strange going on? Steve Angello has mentioned before that they will never split up. If you look at the message on their homepage, it actually does NOT say they are splitting up. It says it’s their last TOUR, so they may have something else in their minds? I dont know, I’m just trying to stay positive. Such a tragic thing if this is true though.

And secondly: Their new track is called ”Dont you worry child”. Maybe it has something to do with it?

  • There has to be something strange going on here! It is impossible that they are breaking up. And why did Axwell post this on his facebook page a month ago :

    WTF is going on, seriously!?

  • They haven’t mentioned anything about breaking up, just that this is their final tour.

  • ”how do we finish this the right way” waaaaaaaaah :’(
