It may have been many moons since Justice redefined the globe’s enthusiasm for divine French Electro, but with their second album ”Audio, Video, Disco” still at large, a formative remix package for fourth single ‘New Lands’ was the only befitting tribute to their successive resurrection.
More formally attributed to his collaborative works alongside Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, DJ Falcon breaks his notable silence with a sophisticated sweep of the new age duos latest album asset. Shaking off the creative rust with seamless ease, his take on ‘New Lands’ drives simplicity and warm melodic substance to forge a mature and remarkably powerful take.
Outside of his whacky Duck Sauce moniker, Canada’s A-Trak has leapt from strength to strength with his solid output of unique club gems. In similar fashion, his heavyset take on ‘New Lands’ is as indicative of his outside-of-the-box approach to Electronic music as it is to the inspirational properties Justice’s latest album mark has sparked from one of the more outspoken idols of modern Dance music.
Despite sacrificing some his thoroughbred Electro energy for a surge of Hip Hop-oriented beats, Ed Banger favourite and unfathomable French club monger SebastiAn promptly amends what could have been a fatal blow of character. Promptly transitioning back to the more sacred wrath of his tectonic Electro stylings that have championed his name over the past several years, his take on ‘New Lands’ impresses, but fails to take the lead over the impressive collection of remodels that ornament Justice’s fourth album single.
