Club-friendly remixes of indie pop bands isn’t exactly the stuff of rocket science of late. But in a wholehearted attempt to take London’s Passion Pit to the global dancefloor, New York residing dBerrie follows up from last month’s take on Gossip’s ‘Perfect World‘ to replace the rhythmic drum lines of the Cambridge band’s ‘Take A Walk’ with a mixture of grinding highs and soothing lows. Building upon what his unofficial remix of Gotye’s chart-topping ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ set in motion some five months back, his latest addition of heavy synth work and chugging sounds continues the streak of infectious dBerrie remodels of indie pop groups from across the spectrum while bringing something a tad more unique to the table.
