If you thought the long overdue release of his debut album was to simmer down Eric Prydz’s output for the rest of the year, think again. A staple in Prydz’s live sets over the past few months, the world premiere spin on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection radio show last night revealed that the next release from Eric Prydz, previously known as the ”Bootshaus ID,” will end up being called ‘Everyday’.

Under his acclaimed Pryda moniker, however, Prydz can be found basking in a realm of unrestrained melodics and ‘Everyday’ furthers this extended bloodline of emotive club floor absolution with utmost ease. Like the mad professor amid modern Dance music, this gem of delicately layered melodies and John Ciafone vocals proves a tactful extension of this second dimension to the already idolised producer. Straying reassuringly far from the status quo of some of his peers, ‘Everyday’ is a promising return from an artist who is as integral to the rich history of European Dance music as he promises to be to its bright future.

Update (3/10): Official preview now available.

Update (4/10): Release is set for October 15th along with a remix from Fehrplay. The ‘Every Day’ EP is released November 5th, also including a remix from Andy C and ‘We Are Mirage’.

  • I agree, Prydz lets his music do the talking, and he’s a very down-to-earth guy without need for a cocky attitude.

  • [...] with the occasional throwback to the Swede’s earlier days and Pryda’s forthcoming single ‘Everyday’, the thinning crowd and undisputable lull in morale that surrounded his set fell significantly [...]
