From chill out to heavy-hitting dubstep, Deadmau5’s Mau5trap Recordings have never been a predictable asset to the globe’s forward thinking club assets. But while 2012 has spelt nothing but promise for diverse club music, the full-bloomed summer season sees the record imprint of Joel Zimmerman drop their new EP ”We Are Friends” in a bid to enrich the industry with one of the more fluid and multifarious EP’s to have touched Electronic music this year.

But a sound scope ranging from the soothing stylings of Buddygirrl’s ‘Fly’ and Born Freak’s ‘Cocktail Bar’ right through to headlining Tom Staar original ‘Home’ and the glitchy stylings of Kairo Kingdom, Mau5trap’s wholehearted take on the full spectrum of Electronic music within the EP indicates that among the times of industrious evolution and mainstream accumulation, Electronic music with creative soul still exists amid the Dance explosion.
