2012 has been a year of mixed celebrations and undertones for long serving Swedish heavyweight Steve Angello. But with the news of his sell-out spree this September at New York’s Central Park already upping the post-summer excitement, the renowned mafia man unites with rising label protégés Third Party to cast a bright light upon the high times of this soaring Dance imprint.

Off the back of their last single ‘Thank You’ for Ultra Music, the Essex two-piece are on hand with their recognizable melodic guise, leaving Angello to bring the heavyset beats and poignant seal of quality that his career thus far has sworn by. Sure to be another knockout for the Size Records corner this year ahead, this energetic union of old school spirit and new school edge is enough to make for another landmark release amid the label’s most definitive year under the spotlight of global Dance music.

The collaboration of Steve Angello and Third Party for ‘Lights’ has now been officially confirmed through a press release.

Released on October 26th.

Update (13/10): Official preview now available.

Update (20/10): Official video trailer now available.

  • i like!

  • Third party’s music is always so wonderful their leads always give me the chills (:

  • Track of the year for me without a doubt !

  • This is so much better than SHM’s new single it’s not even funny.

  • Release 2013/14?

  • denna är grym!!

  • love this track so much! still remember the day shm dropped this first.

  • Hope this track doesn’t go down the same road as ‘Feel’, the Masquerade Motel-version sounds fatter. Huge track nonetheless.

  • Can someone please tell him to release tuesday already ?!?!

    Huge song !

  • Shit as always. This thing shouldnt be called music

  • Haha ”Genuine” who do you think you are? Keep your mouth closed, like your mind.

  • not bad!, but not great either.. i know music is supposed to be about progress and evolving, but i really miss the by now/ supermode / isabel / monday era. I have tremendous amount of respect for him (so no talk about hating) because i know he is a great producer/dj and a big influence in the scene. But i just feel like they all stopped trying, the hunger is gone you know?. It used to be about creating an emotion, moving people and proving your worth. Now it just seems to be about making ”bangin’” tracks for the fratboys and paris hilton wannabes.. the man is certainly no axwell but he is better than this that’s all i’m saying :(

  • Heavy, not bad at all. Third Party is a little more creative than this but its still a nice drop track.

  • olle: But this isnt a Steve Angello production, this is Third Party with Steve Angello tag to make more attention.

  • @ Allaelae well doesn’t that make it even worse? now he just slaps his name on any ”massive-festival-banger-tune” (that is ”the shit bro!” for about 2 weeks) in order to get ”edm lovers” to boost his label sales. I saw a interview with him a couple of years back when he said music is like Mc’Donalds now. You can get it anywhere and it’s consummated fast. Well my point is THEY made it this way by not being selective enough with the quality of their own releases. I know this type of house is high in demand now because eeeeveryone listens to it, so i’m guessing they are thinking: hey i’d rather take a pice of the pie than give it all to guetta/avicii/skrillex. And ofc i could just listen to the olds stuff, but after a while you want more, and i can’t find any new releases with the same feeling..

  • olle: Completely agree with you. Steve made GREAT music for many years, but then he got rich and famous and the creativity dissappeared. He’s an excellent progressive house producer, but now he’s trying to produce ”bangers” and electro tracks and most of them are horrible.

I’ve heard far worse from him than this however, but it’s got nothing on Raining Again, Groove In You, Isabel, Magnolia, Tivoli etc.

  • Do you guys know anything about when Angello is going to release the track ”Yeah”?

  • Damn want to hear a decent preview. Heard it at Tomorrowland when SHM played it. Really big tune!
