Helsinki-based Otto Yliperttula, better known to the world as Yotto or one half of Something Good, comes out with his take on M83’s ‘Intro’, taken from the French band’s acclaimed ”Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming” album. Eerily similar to the version used in Luciano’s sets of late, Yliperttula’s latest work leads with simplicity over complexity while firmly echoing the renowned signature statement of Alesso: ‘Less is more’. Replacing the symphonic instrumental work of the original with a bouncy tech beat, Yotto’s rework of ‘Intro’ successfully maintains the soothing vibe of the track while remodelling it into something of a post-summer gem released just in time for the last leg of the Ibiza season.

  • I think it’s a disgrace to the original. The beats simply don’t fit the song, and they sound as if they’re in a different tune than the original song, just pasted over the M83’s original. Kills all of the original’s emotion IMO. Just my 2 cents.

  • This is amazing! Completely disagree with you, Bruce..

  • Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion eh?:)

  • This is different from the one luciano uses in his sets, but I like it! Will be a nice tool for me :D

  • Def a nice one, and inspired by Luciano’s edit

  • wow..great beats and it is in tune ;) not amazingly complex but a nice tool.
