From underground hero to ambassador to the discos down under, globetrotting deck peddler Stu Tyson, better known as Bass Kleph has built a formidable legacy around playing it close to the heart.
Following in the footsteps of early summer scorcher ‘Damage at the Disco’ with Filthy Rich for Toolroom Records, Tyson’s coarse brass leads and spirited rhythmic progressions see ‘When You Were Deep’ celebrate a rich heritage of House music with a solid 21st century spin. But retreating back to his signature skank-happy stylings for ‘Electrical Funk’ alongside Travis Emmons, the tracks peak time energy and uplifting melodic charm make for a firm embodiment of the positively charged club cuts that this long serving Australian has brought to numerous summer seasons, with 2012 proving to be no exception.
‘Touchdown La’ EP is set to be released on August 20th.
