Love him or hate him, but you would struggle to escape the wrath that is pop-savvy Dance veteran David Guetta these days. Off the heels of his ongoing plight to unite popular music and dance floors across the globe, Guetta joins fast ascending Swedish melody maker Alesso and Canadian Indie Pop outfit Tegan & Sara for a strong addition to the forthcoming re-release of his ‘Nothing But The Beat’ album.
Carrying strong Progressive hallmarks and deep melodic undertones, the young Swede nails what appears to be another memorable vocal track for 2012 alongside one of the globe’s biggest club assets to date. While anything with Guetta’s name may stir a slight sense of disdain among the more pure bred clubber, this fine collection of artists prove that a book shouldn’t be judged by its cover in times of universal hysteria for modern Dance music.
‘Every Chance We Get We Run’ will be released September 10.

Not impressed
Aftermathhyo says:
This is not an offical preview.. It’s just a leak, this is David Guetta’s offical channel.

Filip says:
liiiiiiike it alot!
Wally says:
nice words Dan
skrill1x says:
Nej tack. Fyfan vad Alesso har tappat det. Hans första släpp på Joia & Refune var ju helt sjukt bra. Synd, för han är riktigt bra producent egentligen.
kibu says:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! WHYYYYYYYYY!
This is an amazing song, but those vocals are SHIT!
This track is now officially GARBAGE!
Mick says:
Gay as hell !
diego josé says:
99,5 Alesso 0,5 David Guetta
Mr. Schmeezzly says:
Guetta’s gonna wring Alesso’s neck like what he did to Nicky Romero and Afrojack, convince him it’s ok to sell out big time and then after a few generic songs he’ll drop him and find a another young producer.
I agree completely with skrill1x even though your comment was in swedish, i googled translated it
Miss the old Alesso who actually made groovy songs, not this fast-food generic prog shit.
melfres says:
is it me or is the bass super weak
diego josé says:
Mr. Schmeezzly
Indeed! you’ve forgotten Joachim Garraud and many more producers!
Mick says:
Meeeeh has Alesso ever made groovy songs?!
Tom says:
Is it just me or is the kick in stereo and is constantly panning from right to left??
majk says:
mjölkig
Mr. Schmeezzly says:
@Mick, yes, yes he has. Though you need to sift through the rubbish on beatport, most of his groovy stuff was released before he signed to Refune (With the Dynamite EP being an exception) maybe there’s other stuff there that i haven’t encountered yet.
Mick says:
We sure dont have same definition of groovy… i agree with you with your ”fast-food generic prog shit” though. Originality is missing nowadays
Mr. Schmeezzly says:
We’ll probably have to wait a very long time to hear some originality from these guys because they CAN make good music, but i guess they need to put food on the table. And by food i mean champagne and jager and whatever else is expensive. Caviar? Do these guys eat caviar?
Fluff says:
99% Alesso.
DanSTS says:
Ah I’m so frustrated with progressive house. That hysterical comment ”fast-food generic prog shit” above is so true about the direction that progressive house is headed. There desperately needs to be a new direction, a new mind/innovator to keep us entertained. Perhaps these producers need to deconstruct and simplify things a bit more (such as not worrying so much about the structure of a typical progressive house track – it’s what makes things so predictable and commonplace that it disinterests many who used to be so enthusiastic about progressive like myself.) What ever happened to that perfect balance of power, energy and emotion in progressive that made it so much better than the other EDM subgenres? In comparison to the releases of 2011, it appears that the common theme for 2012 is ”ANTHEM OR BUST”. We have barely seen any solid versatile tracks that were so abundant in 2011, everything is being homogenized to this bandwagon feel-good melodic mush that we call progressive nowadays.
These are just my thoughts and opinions.
But yeah, to put it altogether, half of what we see in progressive is fast-food generic prog shit and bandwagon feel-good melodic mush. Thomas Gold is the only one who has remained hungry and continues to be the savior or progressive house. Other notable names are Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Gregori Klosman..they’ve been keeping it pretty real.
Brecht says:
Not really digging the track. Guetta was probably saying the whole time, nononono don’t do that it has to be a radio-track…
Jesse says:
I also think Third Party is keeping progressive going Dan……But i agree with all the other points

Turs says:
Descent track, just wanted to say Alesso did amazingly good track when he was releasing some tracks through Joia records.

Nowadays everything in the house scene is ALL about the money and business, kinda sad.
cal says:
such a boring track.
erik_m says:
not bad, not good.
@Tom Yea, the kick seems to be in stereo. strange.
hej says:
erik_m
Yeah maybe it was a mono rip and the seeder just put a stereotool on it, therefor it sounds like this
DanSTS says:
@Jesse: My apologies, I totally left out Third Party, they are incredibly talented producers and are also setting the bar. I haven’t seen them live yet either. Deniz Koyu and Tim Mason are two other producers who represent progressive house with poise. But Thomas Gold is the only one who can DJ and producer at an extremely high level.

theSHAPE says:
Um, haven’t any of you guys heard of a little guy named Axwell? If we’re talking about progressive house, I don’t see how you can leave his name out of the conversation. Yeah, Thomas Gold is a great DJ and producer, but everything he does…Axwell did it first and usually does it better. Just listen to his set from Ezoo last night (I was there). He doesn’t just mix track-to-track. He squeezes in all of our favorites and does it in ways we haven’t heard before.
His own tracks and re-cuts/re-edits are amazing, and the other songs by other producers that he plays are amazing. No matter how you feel about Swedish House Mafia as a group, Axwell as a stand-alone DJ is up there and above most of the rest.
As far as the state of progressive house, there’s tons of great shit and amazing DJs out the. If you don’t like Alesso’s music, of course you won’t like this track. Say what you want, but he’s got his own sound, and many people enjoy it immensely. He’s molded himself after the SHM but with his own lighter sensibilities and focus on vocals.
DanSTS says:
@theSHAPE: it’s funny you bring up Axwell’s Electric Zoo set because I literally just got done listening to it a few hours ago. It was an awesome set and he did some incredibly smooth mixing with some fresh unreleased tracks and fruitful combinations.
Based on his percussion heavy set that included a lot of massive debilitating builds, it really seems like he’s been paying attention to Thomas Gold’s style lately. Don’t get me wrong, Axwell is a living legend and a pioneer for progressive house who’s the cerebrum behind Swedish House Mafia’s sets/song selection. His timing is on point when he mixes, but he is not the barbarian that Thomas Gold is. But let’s face it, he’s not as hungry anymore and Thomas Gold is better and more exciting on the decks. I’ve seen Thomas Gold 8 times, Swedish House Mafia 3 times and Axwell at least 6 times and never has Axwell had such a percussion-heavy set like he did at Electric Zoo with those massive builds.
Thomas Gold takes way more risks than Axwell and has so many ‘what the fuck/hands on your head’ moments during his set with his ridiculous edits/reworking on transitions — check out his The Moment edit at Escape From Wonderland, Million Voices w/ Fix You w/Apologize, his recent Kick Out The Epic (Otto Knows Remix) from Governor’s Island,etc..the list goes on, TG does some incredible shit live! The reason I respect TG so much is because he understands and appreciates the classics while still being able to get the noobies engaged. He just knows what tracks will hit the serious progressive fans deep like when he does that ridiculous bootleg of Alive (Intro edit + acappella) w/Resurrection and with FUCKING PJANOO ( btw he drops Resurrection harder than Axwell ever has!!!) A week before EDC NY, I was discussing with a friend how legendary Ingrosso’s, Dirty South’s & Guetta’s ”How Soon Is Now” is. To no suprise during peak time at TG’s set, he busts out the classic in between the original and Swanky Tunes mixes of Trilogy..it was wild!! Then recently at Governor’s Island he played Wippenberg’s legendary ”Pong”! Like wtf, how does he know to play those?!
When Thomas Gold drops Beatport top 40, he makes EVERY track his own unlike Axwell at times. Again though, Axwell is fucking boss but the torch has been passed to Thomas Gold aka King Midas aka Thomas God.

I love Alesso too but he still has a lot to learn. During a show at the Mid Chicago where Thomas Gold was headlining and Alesso was opening (rightfully so), Alesso came back on stage when Thomas Gold was playing and was getting pointers from TG. They spun together for around 45 minutes and you could tell Thomas Gold was giving him tips..Here’s one of the wildest live mixes I’ve heard of Duel with We Are Your Friends…one of my all time favorite moments. They fuck with it soooo hard on the build and then the cryo comes!! Boom pregnant!
