Seeing the light of day after being stored away in the ‘attic’ over the past decade, episode three of EPIC Radio saw the premiere of a 2002 demo from Swedish Dance pioneers Eric Prydz and Steve Angello entitled ‘Bedtime Stories’. Long before the times of mainstream accumulation and industrious evolution, this old yet significantly fresh production is a positive nod to a time where the music truly was all that mattered.
A funky low-end affair in it’s own respect, ‘Bedtime Stories’ may and should not mirror that of the Swedish heavyweights’ current production values but reigns testament to the fact that their rise to prominence was no overnight manoeuvre all the same. Made up of dotted bass play, deep groves and ultimately a crescendo of caressing synths, it’s safe to say that ‘Bedtime Stories’ would be something of a breath of fresh air amid modern Dance music if it ever were to officially found it’s way out of the ‘attic’.
Sadly, there is currently no info that suggests that this will ever be released.
