It may have been four years since he dropped Swedish House Mafia-approved ‘Deep Fear’ on the world as part of Italy collective Sidekick, but as he makes his return under his Gio Di Leva moniker, Giuseppe Esposito is on hand to prove that his standards have certainly not slipped since.

Blending warm, summery leads and melodic progressions, ‘Akiram’ borders on the euphoric and with dreamy synth work taking the track forward while acting as a strong indication that amidst an industry more commonly recognized by it’s grinding Electro, traditional Progressive House is still well worth pursuing.
