On the back of remix duties for Breakbot’s ‘One Out Of Two‘, inspiring Los Angeles duo Vaughn Oliver and Oliver Goldstein embrace their Oliver moniker to put their nu-disco twist on Live Element’s 2001 remodel of Belinda Carlisle’s ‘Live Your Live Be Free’. Rather than dispersing the original track’s untimely vibes with dub step wobbles and dodgy sampling, Oliver embrace its natural energy and infectious grooves with the utmost respect. With so much talk about crossing over to the mainstream, Oliver’s remix is a refreshing step backwards to remember where the magic found its feet.
