In a nod to his newly acquired Prophet One synth, the Zane Lowe-premiered ‘Prophecies’ takes the lead of the second part of Metric’s ‘Ammunition’ EP series. Driving screeching synths alongside an expertly tailored bass line, ‘Prophecies’ is a testament not only to this leader of the British new school, but the promising UK scene to which Metric reigns a key player. Accompanied by a funky collaborative track alongside Oliver called ‘Motion Study’ and a slew of remixes of previously released ‘Rave Weapon’, this EP makes for an impressive debut on Skrillex’s Owsla Records and a worthy follow-up release to the successful first ‘Ammunition’ EP.
