Outside of his part in whacky House tag-team Duck Sauce, Montreal’s A-Trak is not only the DJ’s DJ, but an impressively outgoing asset of musical differentiation. Joined by Tommy Trash, GTA, Galantis, and Oliver, Alain Macklovitch follows up his remix of ‘Misunderstanding‘ with a diverse four-track EP titled ‘Tuna Melt’.
With a sound scope ranging from the chugging chord play of title track ‘Tuna Melt’ to the trap stylings of ‘Landline’ to the pitch-defying leads and burly low-end riffage of ‘Jumbo’ and ‘Disco Nap’, the ‘Tuna Melt’ EP marks not only a collection of some of the most interesting collaborations of late, but an unorthodox shot of hope for the dance music scene.

Unbelievably good! Fore once, every track on an EP is awesome! Oh and, does anybody know about A-track’s and Steve Angello’s collab track called ”Higher”? First heard it on SHM’s first Pete Tong takeover, and had no info since then.
Theman says:
That collab is gonna have to be on steves album that is coming in March. Steve and Axwell have so many good unreleased tracks (Seb seems to have almost none), hopefullly they start flooding out after there Ultra Gig
Bandis says:
Tottaly forgot about Steve’s album. Yeah, e.g Axwell’s ”Center of the Universe” or Steve’s (rumored) Tuesday. And many more.
Theman says:
God do i need Center of the Universe. so excited for the shm break-up (after i see them one last time of course), get to potentially see 3 times the awesomeness at a festival, theyll stop all playing the same sets and finally get some individual stuff from Axwell
