At the tail end of a year that has spelt globetrotting, an Essential Mix debut and an Axtone compilation, Thomas Gold makes his Fly Eye Records debut with his fourth and final single of the year in ‘MIAO’.
A staple in his sets over the past year, ‘MIAO’ combines growling low-end riffage and piercing leads with melodic breakdown segments and scattered vocal chants. Comfortably setting the tone ahead of his upcoming official remix of OneRepublic’s ‘Feel Again‘, Gold would struggle to find a more promising first release on the record label of Calvin Harris.
Out December 25th.

It’s must be hard to follow up something like his remix of Miike Snow’s ”The Wave”, and is that a Steve Angello – Knas sample I hear?

EMIL says:
Naah, that’s actually a Loleatta Holloway sample from 1984. Steve just sampled it as well as deadmau5, David Guetta and Armand Van Helden did.
